1. Visualizing Global Networks

Cities are connected by invisible flows. Click a layer to see the connections.

Financial Network

The "Big Three" (NY-LON-TOK) drive the global economy. Stock markets here determine prices worldwide.

2. The Urban Hierarchy

Not all large cities are "World Cities." Sort them by influence.

Alpha ++ (Dominant)
Beta (Major Linkages)
Gamma (Regional)
New York
Chicago
London
Phoenix
Tokyo
Dublin

Pop Size ≠ Influence

Many Megacities (e.g., Lagos, Dhaka) are huge but are NOT Alpha World Cities.

To be a World City, you need:

  • 💹
Economic Control: Stock exchanges, Headquarters of MNCs.
  • 🏛️
Political Power: Embassies, International Organizations (UN).
  • ✈️
Infrastructure: Massive international airports, advanced data lines.

3. CEO Simulation

You run a Global Tech Firm. Where do you put your HQ?
